“Look at that.” “Did you see that?” “Can we turn around?”
When we were younger and working and busy and raising a family, we never had enough time to stop and smell the roses. The idea of ever stopping and turning around to see something that looked interesting was anathema to Michael’s idea of a good road trip. We were on a path to somewhere and needed to arrive by a certain time so we just didn’t stop.
But now we have the time. If there’s a bit of color in our peripheral vision, a sign we couldn’t quite read, an odd-looking shape, we can stop, take our time, check it out. That’s what these posts are. Tiny bits of unexpected joy during our travels.
